What visitors or pages are EXCLUDED from my web site analytic reports?
_
Only pages that have the MySiteTraffic tracking code correctly loaded will be counted in your traffic reports. Note that some visitors may have obsolete or defective browsers (or may use firewalls or other data suppression techniques), the data for these visitors may be incomplete or absent from your traffic reports. As this is by user choice (or by damage to their browser software), it is out of the control of MySiteTraffic reports.
Some visitors may not accept "cookies" in their browsers, cookies are used to identify individual sessions. In this case, the visitor may be recorded as more than one session identity in your traffic reports. Again as this is by user choice (or a browser software misconfiguration), it is out of the control of MySiteTraffic reports. Additionally, search engine spiders do not "hit" the tracking code and are thus automatically excluded from your traffic reports. Search engine spiders can account for upto 20% of any website traffic, since these automated robots constantly scour the Internet adding to and updating their search engine indexes. Marketing strategies require the removal of search engine spider traffic from aggregate metrics, so MySiteTraffic makes this task easy by excluding spider data automatically.
